Anthony James Festa was baptized by Father Tim Sherwood on Sunday, July 11, in the church after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. His parents are Thomas and Noelle Festa. Godparents were Christopher Festa and Alison Caserta. However, Alison was unable to attend, so Joy Caserta, little Anthony James' grandma, stood in as proxy.

Father Tim arrives at St. Raphael parish
Photos by Jane Winstead
Father Tim Sherwood's first homily appropriately included an American flag on the Fourth of July. Father Tim said he often uses props during his homilies. Father Tim greeted parishioners after Mass. After the 9:30 a.m. Mass, there was a reception for St. Raphael's new pastor in the Parish Center. Of course, there was cake! And parishioners introduced themselves to Father Tim at the reception.Photos by Jane Winstead
Before Father Tim's first Sunday Mass at St. Raphael, he celebrated the 8 a.m. Mass on June 1.
